One of my favorite cities in the world is Lisbon. Lisbon tour has a diverse collection of bustling clubs and candlelight music venues where people go to hear traditional fado music, as well as stunning museums, ancient structures, scenic plazas, and chilled-out cafes. I immediately fell in love with the city upon arrival, and the second time around was even better!
Lisbon tour is currently one of the continent’s most populated cities. Everyone adores this sunny city, from cruisers to digital nomads. Over the years, I’ve been there a few times, and I always look forward to returning. People are made to feel especially welcome by the pleasant climate, cheery colors, and relaxed atmosphere.
But if it’s your first time, a walking tour is the greatest way to get a feel for the city. It’s the first thing I do whenever I arrive in a new city because it’s the most effective method to meet a local guide, learn insider secrets, and take in the major attractions.
There are several walking tours available today to make sure you get the most out of your trip. Here is a list of my personal favorites, including free tours, cuisine tours, and pub crawls, to help you navigate through the options and choose the best.
To help you make the most of your time in Lisbon, here are a few other walking tour choices:
1. Devour
Devour began in Spain and soon started offering tours in Lisbon. They provide a cuisine and fado tour that combines two important aspects of Lisbon’s culture. I appreciate the Tastes & Traditions food tour they provide, which includes stops at seven local establishments in Lisbon tour where you can sample up to nine different foods and drinks. One of the top culinary tour operators in Europe, Devour, offers excellent tours of Lisbon.
The first tour costs 95 EUR.
2. Inside Lisbon
This tour provider offers a wide variety of excursions, but their Best of Lisbon introductory trip is ideal for tourists on a budget and those going for Lisbon tour for the first time. The three-hour trip begins at 9:30 am and travels through some of the city’s most important areas. It includes a stop for wine and a taste of the iconic pastel de nata pastry. There is a 14-person maximum for the group tours.
The first tour costs 18 EUR.
3. City Guru Street Art Tour
Large cities all across the world, including Lisbon, have been swept by street art. You’ll explore some of the city’s best masterpieces and discover the social and political inspirations behind them during this three-hour trip. You’ll really get an insider’s peek at the scene and view murals that most other tours bypass because excursions are guided by local street artists.
The first tour costs 35 EUR.
4. Pancho Tours
Using native guides, Pancho organizes tours all across the Iberian Peninsula with a focus on street art, tapas and wine, as well as day trips to locations like Sintra. I enjoy their fado music tour, myself. You will discover all there is to know about this melancholy music that is unique to Portugal throughout the 2.5-hour tour. At the conclusion, you’ll enjoy a front-row seat to a fado performance in the heart of Lisbon.
Prices for tours begin at about 40 EUR.
6. Learn about Lisbon Pub Crawl
These days, Lisbon tour has a very vibrant nightlife, and the traditional pub crawl is a terrific opportunity to experience it and meet other foreigners. With a free shot at the first and third stops, this tour brings you to three different locations. Additionally, there is an hour of unlimited sangria or cider. It’s a fantastic choice for lone travelers hoping to make new friends. Although it isn’t really “local,” it is enjoyable!
The cost of a tour is 20 EUR.
Conclusion
One of the many reasons I adore Lisbon is that there are walking excursions to suit just about any interest and spending limit. Because there is really so much to see and do in the city, and because the local guides are so invaluable, I always take one or more Lisbon tours while I’m there. On these trips, you may learn about local culture up close and ask residents for advice on what to do, where to go, and how to behave. While visiting the city, make sure to participate in at least one of these tours.
